Too much excitement just might kill me!
Like all little kids, Monkey does something adorable approximately infinity times a day. And thanks to technology, it’s now really easy to just grab my mobile and make a quick video.
Except the second I point a video camera at him, Monkey stops whatever cute thing it was that I wanted to record. Like a quantum particle, he changes state when observed. It doesn’t matter how quick I am, or how long he has been doing said adorable thing – actually getting it on camera is not going to happen.
Last night Monkey was sitting on Hubs’ lap reading a piece of junk mail. He was emphatically pointing to the pages and proclaiming the contents in fluent toddler babble, like he knew exactly what he was saying. Very cute, and something I know his Grandma would have loved to see. But as soon as the camera came out, he just started trying to eat the papers instead.
So disappointing! Does your child do this? Is there some secret stealth videoing technique that parents have which I have yet to learn?
